Nashville artist, Caryl Mack, is a seasoned songwriter and story-teller with a voice that ranges from sultry and soulful, to bluesy and southern, to warm and comforting. Caryl’s musical stylings parallel her 4 decades geographical journey across the US from her native Abilene, Texas 70’s roots to the rock n’ soul of Portland, Oregon, ultimately leading her to hone her songwriting voice in the writing rooms and recording studios of Nashville. Soon after landing in Nashville in the mid 90’s, Caryl became a mainstay session vocalist and staff writer for several music publishers, composing songs for major artists and tv placements. Her self-titled debut album, Caryl Mack Parker, released in 1996 on Magnatone Records garnered critical acclaim gaining airplay on major radio stations with videos featured on CMT and GAC.

Her musical heritage can be heard in the music she is making nowadays. From years of playing bars and festivals, to recording studios to churches, there is a maturity and an edge in her voice. When she sings it, you believe it. She is married to songwriter and music publisher, Scott Parker, with whom she performs and co-writes.

In 2022, the Parkers began co-hosting "Live on Music Row," a live concert series in Nashville. Album collaborations include Caryl Mack’s, Mercy Road (2021), Live Firepit Sessions (2023), Christmas Caryl (2023), and her latest EP, Watching Life (Spring 2024), with their Live Firepit Session videos garnering millions of views.

On her latest release, Caryl writes, “Watching Life” is a collection of songs mostly written in the early years of my songwriting days in Nashville. These songs for me are a time capsule of stories, recording sessions, studios, musicians, and friends.  Newly reimagined with a fresh take and new life breathed into them, I wanted this project to feel timeless, comfortable and grownup. 

Caryl continues to appear at songwriter festivals and writer showcases, and charity events, including playing legendary venues like the Ryman Auditorium and Bluebird Café, as well as leading worship at churches throughout the Nashville area.
